It’s been a little while since my last post, but it’s not because I am running out of ideas to talk about. I have just been wicked busy balancing family, fun, and DJ bookings! The CityWalk bookings have been a lot of fun and with the summer coming to an end, unfortunately so does their busy season. Hence the title, “Summertime Sadness.” My next CityWalk performance is on September 26 and you can keep up with my schedule on the Events page.
Something I’ve learned about working at a theme park is you never know what to expect from the crowd. You have people from all nationalities roaming the parks and then suddenly groups of people from all over the world make their way past the Lagoon stage. As a DJ, it’s important to play to the crowd, and when that crowd can change in a moment’s notice, it forces you to be quick on your feet. Luckily, while on stage, I have another set of eyes paying close attention to who’s in the audience. Enter, MC Rob, one of the finest MC’s in the industry and never afraid to go the extra mile to keep the crowd moving. Both a DJ and an MC, this guy is great to have around during any event!
