Universal CityWalk

On Friday night (June 26, 2015), I met with a talent agency who happens to hire DJs for Universal Studios CityWalk. The meeting started with brief introductions, meeting a few DJs/MCs, and an underground tour of the loading dock, meeting rooms, and AV rooms. The tour took about 45 minutes and eventually concluded at the main lagoon stage where I watched the DJ/MC perform for about 3 hours. The show was entertaining with continual interaction from the MC while the DJ kept the music going. The last hour of the show was almost exclusively dedicated to the DJ performance. Just outside the stage area, there were also human statues and a graffiti wall. I took a few pictures for my blog…neat stuff!

OK, now for the good news…

On July 8th and 9th, that same stage will be mine (insert evil laugh, Muahahahahaha)! From 7pm-11pm, I will be playing a mix of mostly pop music keeping it upbeat and fun all. The show format includes various contests/giveaways and it allows for enough creative freedom to play a few EDM tracks, remixes, and of course, line dances.

Last but certainly not least, this opportunity would not have been possible without my good friend and amazing DJ, Luis (AKA DJ Lu-S). I owe this man a giant THANK YOU!
